June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day. This is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
In our community, we will be hosting a Twilight Market celebrating & recognizing National Indigenous Peoples Day with food, live music, Indigenous/Non-Indigenous artists and artisans and more! This is event is to bring awareness of the Secwepemc region including Splatsin and showcasing the many contributions they bring to us as we move towards true reconciliation which includes listening and learning. We invite everyone to celebrate and engage with the community at this FREE event!

On June 27, Canadian Multiculturalism Day honours the many cultural communities that help build a strong and vibrant Canadian society. Take this opportunity to celebrate the diversity that enriches us collectively and reaffirm your commitment to equity, inclusion, and mutual respect.
In our community, we will be hosting a FREE celebration with food, live music, art and cultural presentations. Multiculturalism is one of Canada’s great strengths. We encourage you to share your experience, your thoughts and your story with others and listen to theirs at this event. On July 1, celebrate in person right here in our community! A daytime ceremony, an afternoon filled with fun and laughter followed by a community supper and music awaits you. Connect with your loved ones and your community and celebrate what makes you proud on Canada Day!
Not able to reconnect in person? Enjoy a virtual ceremony beginning at 11:30am (ET). You can watch the daytime ceremony on Canadian Heritage’s YouTube channel or CBC News Network, . There is also an evening show beginning at 8pm local time which will be broadcast across the country on the Radio-Canada (in French only) and CBC platforms.
