Scarecrows on the Street 2023
Thirteen scarecrows lined downtown Armstrong in October 2023. Visitors voted by dropping non-perishable food in each display's collection box, and the winner was decided by the weight of food collected.
The 2023 contest ran under the name Scarecrow in the Street. Registration opened in September, with entry forms due September 26 through manager@aschamber.com. Displays stayed up until October 15.

The map marked 13 scarecrow stops through downtown Armstrong, along Wood Avenue, Pleasant Valley Road, Patterson Avenue, and the surrounding blocks.
How voting worked
Each scarecrow had a collection box. Visitors voted by dropping in a non-perishable food item. The winning scarecrow was the one that collected the greatest weight of food, and all donations went to the food bank.
Rumorz Barber Nails Spa was among the participants, with a scarecrow on display at 2575 Pleasant Valley Blvd.
