Community Excellence Awards

The Community Excellence Awards are the chamber’s annual recognition program for outstanding businesses, employees, organizations, and community contributors in Armstrong and Spallumcheen.

The awards celebrate excellence, dedication, innovation, service, and local impact. They also create a public moment for nominees, recipients, sponsors, partners, and community members to recognize the people and organizations helping the local economy and community thrive.

About the awards

The Community Excellence Awards are usually presented as a fall celebration with networking, food, entertainment, and formal award presentations.

Each year, the chamber invites nominations from the community and recognizes local excellence across categories such as business growth, employee contribution, innovation, hospitality and tourism, and organization leadership.

How nominations and judging work

Anyone in the community can nominate a business, employee, organization, or local leader for recognition.

Strong nominations include specific examples and supporting material that show the nominee’s impact. This may include testimonials, photos, media mentions, letters of support, or other documentation.

Winners are chosen by a judging process based on the nomination form and supporting materials. The chamber shares current nomination forms, deadlines, categories, and event details each year.

Why it supports business growth

Recognition helps local businesses and organizations build visibility, credibility, and community pride.
