The 25th annual Harvest Pumpkin Festival ran from October 3 to 13, 2025, at the Armstrong Fairgrounds, 3371 Pleasant Valley Road. Family Day fell on Saturday October 11.

The festival celebrates arts, culture, family, and community. It is run by the chamber with support from local sponsors.

Family Day

Family Day ran from 9 am to 3 pm at the Armstrong Fairgrounds. The pumpkin launch started at 12 pm.

Straw & Stroll scarecrow contest

Decorated scarecrows lined downtown Armstrong from October 3 to 31. Armstrong Veterinary Clinic won the community vote. See the full recap on the Scarecrows on the Street 2025 page.

Free workshops

Free workshops ran throughout the festival with limited spots and pre-registration through the chamber. Workshops included drumming, macramé, and other hands-on activities across the 10 days.

Great Pumpkin Weigh-In

The weigh-in is the festival’s signature contest. Adults and youth aged 12 and under compete in separate categories, with cash prizes for the biggest pumpkin in each.

New for 2025: Pumpkin Harvest Festival Bingo

New for the 25th anniversary year, the Pumpkin Harvest Festival Bingo card ran through October. Cards were available at the chamber office and PV Blvd Coffee. Squares included activities like walking the Thomas Hayes Trail, touring the Barn Quilt Trail, supporting the local farmers’ market, and visiting the maze at Pink Pumpkin Farm. The first person to finish a full card with photos won Armstrong Spallumcheen apparel, and all completed cards went into a prize draw. The bingo deadline was extended to October 31, after the festival’s official end on October 13.
