The 2025 contest ran October 3 to 31 under the name Straw & Stroll. Armstrong Veterinary Clinic won the community vote with a pair of pumpkin-headed farmers and a skeleton dog.
The 2025 contest ran October 3 to 31 under the name Straw & Stroll, as part of the Harvest Pumpkin Festival. Businesses across Armstrong dressed scarecrows for the community to tour and judge.
2025 winner
Armstrong Veterinary Clinic won the community vote. Their display featured two pumpkin-headed farmers in camo coveralls walking a skeleton dog, complete with a painted pumpkin signed “The AVC Pumpkin Harvest.” The clinic celebrated the win with a coffee party.
How voting worked
Visitors voted at the chamber office. Bring a non-perishable food item, name your favourite scarecrow, and your vote counted. Donations supported the food bank.
The full participant map for 2025 was not published online. Starting in 2026, each year’s map and participant list will live on this website.
