Scarecrows on the Street 2024
Eighteen businesses built scarecrows for the 2024 contest. Maps were available at the Visitor Centre from October 4, voting by food donation ran until October 16, and every participant was entered to win a $50 Askew's gift card.
Scarecrows on the Street 2024 ran as part of the Harvest Pumpkin Festival, October 4 to 14. Each entry featured at least one handmade scarecrow with a harvest theme. After voting closed on October 16, participants could add Halloween props and keep their displays up for the season.

How voting worked
Each scarecrow had a non-perishable food collection box. Visitors voted by dropping in a donation, and the winner was decided by the weight of food collected. Results were tallied by October 20. Every participating business was entered to win a $50 Askew’s gift card.
